How Mile3 Diobu Vigilante Group Made 21 Years Old Girl To Swear Their JUJU To Conceal Rape,Torture While In Their Detention Facility
The Rivers State Police command has arrested eight members of Vigilante group known as ‘Diobu OSPAC’ for allegedly abducting a 21 years old woman, Miss precious and two of her brothers following a report by their father to the group that his children stole his money.
The 21years old Precious in an interview with our correspondent said that the vigilante members stripped her naked while in their office, and inserted fingers in her private part and also took video of her.
Miss Precious said the vigilante members detained her and her brothers from 8pm Saturday,11th April, 2020 to Sunday 12th, April 2020. She said the vigilante members also shaved their hair and eyelids before releasing them.
The father of reported his 2 sons and daughter to a security outfit in one of the community in Rivers State accusing them of stealing his money. The security outfit arrested the 3 children and took them to their office.
Some personnel of the outfit took the 21years old lady to a separate room, undressed her and started inserting fingers in her PRIVATE PART in the guise that they were instructed by her father to ascertain if she is still a VIRGIN. Hospital result confirmed that she has bruises on her laps and other parts of her body as they flogged her mercilessly for attempting to stop them check her.
She and her brothers were detained till the next day before they were released without taking them to the Police. The brothers were also thoroughly beaten with physical wounds to their bodies. She called on the Police and other relevant agencies to ensure Justice is done.
The vigilante members who stripped and raped 21-year-old girl were arrested and paraded at headquarters. the 8 members indicted were interviewed by the Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Nnamdi Omoni at Police Headquarters. The female rape victim, the father of the girl and her brothers were all at Police headquarters. he also confirmed to our correspondent that the medical reports for Miss Precious shows she was raped and abused severely
The police public relations officer Nnamdi Omoni said, the police has a running relationship with vigilantes groups in the state but that the command will not condone any human rights breaches or abuses.
He said the police will investigate the human rights abuses arising from members of the public against the vigilante group and urged them to work within the arm-bits of the law. The Commissioner of Police has ordered transfer of the matter to SCID
Meanwhile, Secretary of Civil Rights Council, Rivers State Uzoma Kelechi called on the Police to ensure Justice is served to all the parties in the matter.
