The Commissioner for Water Resources in Kogi state, Abdulmumin Danga stripped Elizabeth naked. With his thugs, they flogged her mercilessly, made a nude video of her apologizing to them under duress and threatened to upload it on social media.

The victim, Elizabeth, has a 3 year old son who the Commissioner made sure was present at the scene of this abusive and humiliating act. We can only imagine the trauma both Elizabeth and her son is going through

She was flogged because of a post she made on Facebook advising the wicked commissioner to take care of his household. To every human right defender, I call on you to join me and seek for justice for Elizabeth and her son

He forcefully sent in thugs that kidnapped her and her son in Okene, took her to Lokoja; molested and maltreated her and held her captive for a day, before her release after a nude video apology

Currently, Elizabeth's life, that of her son and parents are under threat. The commissioner has sent thugs who know her whereabouts to forcefully kidnap her again back to his house in Lokoja. His thugs have called my friend severally to threaten us.

We call on Nigeria Police and all human rights individuals and organizations to help protect Elizabeth and those threatened by the Commissioner's thugs if they report or expose this case. We must stand to defend each and everyone us against people like Danga.

We MUST NOT allow this injustice by this misogynistic and wicked commissioner and his thugs continue. We call for the immediate sack and prosecution of Abdulmumin Danga by Governor Yahaya Bello.

A Nigerian doctor attending to Coronavirus patients at the Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital, Edo State,

has tested positive for the virus. This was revealed by the President of the National Association of Resident Doctors, Dr. Aliyu Sokomba, in an interview with Channels TV today April 2nd.

 who  was on the show to speak on the Health care system in 
Nigeria , said that at the moment, six doctors had died of Lassa fever while one unnamed doctor had been infected with COVID-19.

“At the moment, as health workers continue to play their part in containing the spread of the disease, the health workers are not protected. One of our colleagues died just yesterday from Lassa fever. This is the state of our health care institutions and that is the fate of most health care workers in the country.

Just yesterday again, one of our doctors in Irrua Specialist Hospital Irrua Edo State had tested positive for the COVID-19 disease. What that means is that these doctors that are testing positive to various diseases are being left alone to take care of themselves” he disclosed

Sokomba disclosed that medical doctors in Nigeria have no form of insurance or compensation in the event of an unfortunate occurence while on duty.

There is no form of life insurance for them. There is no form of compensation. To say the least, what these doctors benefit at the end of every month as hazard allowance is N5, 0000. So, we are worried that if victory against COVID-19, Lassa fever outbreak in the country is to be achieved, the welfare and wellbeing of doctors and other health workers who are on the frontline must be secured.” he said

The Chadian President, Idriss Deby, had in a meeting with the Commanders of Multi-National Joint Taskforce (MNJTF) at Baga, directed his country’s troops to embark on merciless operations against the jihadists in the Lake Chad axis.

Two different videos had been released by the Chadian troops to confirm their rout of the terrorists from their stranglehold.

In the first video obtained by PRNigeria, the troops were seen chanting morale-lifting songs, while firing Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) guns at the insurgents in heavy gun battles.

In the second, the troops were seen beating and hitting several unconscious terrorists with sticks and hefty clubs to death during clearance operations.

Meanwhile, the sectional leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, has released an audio messaging in Hausa language, consoling the terrorists and threatening the Chadian President.

In the audio message,

said: “Do not think because you have fought several secular wars in several fronts, you can fight those of us that chose to fight for the Jihad.”

The speech of Shekau as quoted in the above statement is clearly nothing than fear. We wish governments of all the involved States to continue with such efforts, surely it will emerge victorious sooner or later.
