Jonathan, IBB, Shagari absent at Federal Council of State Meeting

Former Military Head of State, General Ibrahim Babangida, for Presidents Goodluck Jonathan, Alhaji Shehu Shagari and Chief Ernest Shonekan were conspicuously absent on Thursday’s Council of States meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

This is as the Senate President, Bukola Saraki was hailed on arrival by the Sokoto State governor, Aminu Tambuwal as he sauntered into the venue of the meeting.

As at the time the meeting started few minutes after 11am before journalists left the venue only three former Presidents, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Generals. Yakubu Gowon, and Abdulsalami Abubakar were at the venue alongside President Muhammadu Buhari. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo arrived after the national anthem and the opening prayers were said. The meeting was the third Council of States meeting held under the democratic administration of President Buhari.

The Council of States meeting is always attended by former Presidents or head of States, serving and former Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, serving Senate President and Speaker, House of Representatives as well as State governors. Aside President Buhari and the three other past presidents, the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President, Bukola Saraki and four former Chief Justices of Nigeria were seated at the Council Chamber, the venue.

The past four CJN present are Idris Kutigi, Alfa Balgore, Mariam Aluooma, and Muhammed Uwais, while the serval CJN, Walter Onnoghen was absent, though unconfirmed report has it that serving CJN is not a member of the Council of States. Also absent as at the commencement of the meeting was the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara. Others also present at the meeting included state governors of Adamawa, Benue, Kebbi, Jigawa, Delta, Lagos, Nasarawa, Abia, Sokoto, Imo, Bauchi, Akwa Ibom, Kano, Plateau, Ogun, Rivers, Zamfara, Ebonyi, Kaduna. The meeting started when President Buhari arrived the Council Chamber venue of the meeting and went round the Council chamber to shake hand with those present. The first meeting under Buhari was held on the 21st October, 2015, while the second was held in September 2016. The National Council of State is chaired by President Buhari, with Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo as Deputy Chairman.

The opening prayers were said by Gowon and Uwaise. The meeting is focusing on issues of insecurity in the country as well as the coming elections in 2019. Officials from Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) are around to brief the council. Obasanjo, who was five minutes late, rushed when a minute silence was being observed in honour of the late former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Dahiru Mustapha. He then went straight to shake hands with Buhari Senate President, Bukola Saraki and Abubakar before taking his seat. The meeting was still in progress at the time of filing this report. The deputy governors of Bayelsa and Enugu are also in attendance. The Council of State is an organ of the Federal Government saddled with the responsibility of advising the executive on policy making. Its duties include advising the president in the exercise of his powers with respect to the National population census and compilation, publication and keeping of records and other information concerning the same; prerogative of mercy; award of national honours; the Independent National Electoral Commission (including the appointment of members of that Commission); the National Judicial Council (including the appointment of the members, other than ex-officio members of that Council); the National Population Commission (including the appointment of members of that Commission). The council also advises the president whenever requested to do so on the maintenance of public order and on such other matters as the he may direct. It was gathered that the hailing of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki by the Sokoto State governor may not be unconnected with the recent removal of the Chairman of Northern Governors Forum, Senator Abdullahi Adamu on Wednesday by majority of senators from the North and his replacement with Senator Aliyu Wammako, former governor of Sokoto state.

How Buhari arrives Kaduna for meeting with traditional, religious leaders

Our President Mohammadu Buhari has arrived Kaduna State for a meeting with religious and traditional rulers in the state over the crisis that has claimed scores of lives in the state.

President Buhari arrived the Nigerian Airforce Base (NAF), Kaduna around 10.10am in a presidential aircraft. He immediately proceeded to the Murtala Square, the venue of the meeting. Already at the venue for trouble shooting meeting with the President are the Emir of Zazzau, Dr. Shehu Idris, Ahrchbishop of Kaduna Catholic Archdiocese, Most Reverend, Mathew Man-oso Ndagoso and Secretary General of the Jama’atul Nasril Islam (JNI), Dr. Khalid Abubakar Aliyu.

Also ready to meet with the President are Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Bishop George Jonathan Dodo, founder of the Peace Revival and Reconciliation Foundation of Nigeria, Pastor Yohanna Y.D. Buru. It will be recalled that while the dust raised by the criss that erupted in Kasuwan Maganin in the Southern part was settling down, the killing of the Agom Adara, Maiwada Galadima at the weekend ignited another round of violence.

The traditional ruler was killed by kidnappers last weekend after a ransom had been paid for the release of the monarch. The 24 hours curfew imposed on the state following the crisis was only reviewed on Sunday to 6.am to 5.pm.

Umahi flags off reconstruction of Fruit Garden Market in Portharcourt-Media Aid

The governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Nweze Umahi earlier today laid the foundation for the reconstruction of Fruit Garden Market in Portharcourt, Rivers State.

Umahi was invited by Wike to perform this duty because of his uncommon developmental strides in Ebonyi State. He is an Engineer by profession, a dedicated servant master, an uncommon developer and lover of good deeds.

It is known that he does not involve himself in projects that will be abandoned in the process and this has resulted in the immidiate directive of the governor of Rivers state for the construction to be completed within three months from today.

Umahi and Wike are alike in infrastructural developments of their states. In Ebonyi State, Umahi is called "Talk and Do" while in Rivers, Wike is called "Mr. Project".

Engineer David Nweze Umahi poured encomium on Governor Wike for his commitment to the rapid development of the state. He said that Governor Wike has proved to be a lover of his people through unending roll out of projects.

He said while others are thinking of the next election, Governor Wike is initiating newer projects for his people.

"Wike has continued to plan projects for his people. He is building up treasure for himself in heaven and touching the lives of his people.

"You may not understand what Wike is doing until you visit other states. In Rivers State, the people are filled with gratitude for the good works".

He also said that Governor Wike is a great leader with a golden heart. He urged Rivers people to continue to support Governor Wike.

Is Nigeria's Vice President not aware of Buhari led govt heavy debt profile?-Ikechukwu Emeka Onyia

Assuming he is not aware , he can get it here :

Buhari led APC government moved Nigeria Foreign Debt Profile to US$22billion , by adding US$12Billion debt within 3years .

(a) Buhari met Nigeria debt at US$10billion when he assumed office in 2015 .

(b) Within just 3years , Buhari Govt has added US$12Billion dollars to Nigeria debt profile thereby , pushed the Country's debt profile to US$22billion .

(c) Buhari led APC Government also increased Local debt to NGN4trillion .

(d) Buhari led APC Government is also raising a US$2.8billion bond to add to the debt stock .By implication , our external debt is set to rise by US$14.8billion under Buhari led APC government in 3years plus.

(e) When a govt start to borrow for recurrent expenditure like Buhari led govt is currently doing , the future endangered !

(f) Govt that don't behave as if they are borrowing is a dangerous govt !

(g) You don't borrow money from bank for 'owambe' ! It is stupid !

(h) You said to have spent NGN49billion on feeding primary school children in some state , when you don't have such amount to invest on learning tools in same schools . What a govt !

(i) Continues borrowing as a means of Solving our economic problems shows that Buhari led APC Government has no good team to drive the Country's economy .

No Repayment plan of any kind and I pity Nigerians if by chance Buhari and co get additional tenure in 2019 .

How to win a bet massively

Analysis goes to the fact that betting is very risky but it gives succor to most homes who defies the risky nature to have a massive win.

Recent account have shown to data center located in united states that those who won massively are those who have taken a risk others could not take by placing their bets on most odds that never believed to be possible or have invested their money in a game with little odd but with in flux of cash to make a massive pay out.

Even as the two conditions narrated above seems feasible, the bet best way to make more money is not by odds allocated to each games but by having a proper knowledge of the games in question before placing your bet as money lost cannot be regained.

Taking Root Power have also been proven my those that took it to have been an added relaxed mind for them before making their bet.

Its very good to relax well before you apply making a booking for any game as your money reward after booking a game is important and Root Power is their for you.

Having mentioned this, contact 08034685084 or 08074002953 for bet prediction each day.

Media Aid to Ebonyi Governor reacts

With the below statement from Afikpo South Council Boss, you will know that the Ebonyi guber aspirant in APC (Ogbuorji) is not contesting for 2019 governorship election because Eni Uduma alone will knock him off Chairmanship contest when the stage is set.
Hear Barr. Eni Uduma as he speaks to the ears of Ogbuorji
IF PEOPLE ARE PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY SUPPORTERS AND THEY SAID YOU SHOULDN’T PASTE POSTERS ON THEIR HOUSES, IT IS CORRECT BECAUSE IT IS THEIR PROPERTY AND THEY HAVE THE RIGHT OVER THEIR PROPERTIES.
“He was procured to come after me and cause trouble in my local government.
“He was boasting to me that since I don’t want to support Senator Soni Ogbuoji, that he will make sure he terminates my political carrier and that he will use federal might against me.
“He was even threatening policemen handling my case to the extent that we were doubting if he is mentally stable.
“So, there have been several threats against me.
“They want to intimidate me and my people to make sure that we cannot come out, but I cannot be intimidated.
“They talked about posters and I said if people are Peoples Democratic Party supporters and they said you shouldn’t paste posters on their houses, it is correct because it is their property and they have the right over their property.
“All Progressives Congress can paste on their buildings but you cannot be APC and you go and paste posters on property belonging to PDP people.
“I gave specific instructions that posters should not be posted on my streetlights poles.
“I am the council chairman and I installed those streetlights and I maintain them.
“It is my local might.”
....................................................
If you want to paste posters on people's buildings, go and start with winning their trust, empowering them, building houses for them before pasting on their walls. You don't reap where you don't sow. Akubaraoha has cut his teeth in massive empowerment of Ebonyians.
NB: Barr. Eni Uduma is the Council Boss of Ogbuorji.
