Breaking from Evang. Chinedu Obigwe: *Our self acclaimed Saint Peter Obi and his evil cohorts surreptitious move to stop the entrenchment of zoning in Anambra State political system will hit brick wall.*

If I say that Peter Obi is selfish and wicked, his Olumba Olumba bewitched e-rats will start calling me names.

Am happy that he proving me right with his actions.

As the 2021 election draws closer, Peter Obi has started using our highly revered Priests to be campaigning against zoning in the State.

His campaign against zoning is an insult to the good people of Anambra South.

Now the question to ask is ,why is Peter Obi and all his supporters against zoning?

 I will answer the question.

The singular reason why Peter Obi is against zoning is because he still want to be ruling Anambra State through the back door.

As far as Peter Obi is concerned, only Oseloka Obaze will do his evil bidding among all the governorship aspirants in PDP.

His interest in Oseloka Obaze is simply because of the unholy ties that is binding them together.

All the foot soldiers of Peter Obi starting from Valentine Obienyem are all over the social media campaigning against zoning.

They have upped their games by recruiting some Rev Frs to be part of their devilish plot.

The Rev Frs wrote an article demonising Governor Obiano and tactically campaigning against zoning.

In all honesty, I have high regard for Rev Frs but if the identity of the Rev Frs that wrote the article that tactically condemned zoning is unmasked, I will say that they are not worthy of being Priests of the most high God and disciplinary actions should be taken against them.

No Priest will support cheating.

Anybody campaigning against power shift to Anambra South in the 2021 governorship election is demonic and deserves to be ostracized.

Peter Obi and his supporters that are campaigning against zoning are shameless evil doers.

Zoning is biblical because God supports fairness and equity.

How can somebody in his right senses boldly say that what is good for Anambra Central enjoyed by this same Peter Obi, good for Anambra north and being enjoyed by the working Governor Willie Obiano is not good for the people of Anambra South.

Such a person needs a psychiatric test.

Somebody should tell Peter Obi that ndi Anambra will not give him the opportunity of using Oseloka Obaze his lackey and robot to loot Anambra treasury again.

No amount of sponsored campaign of calumny against Governor Obiano will stop him from doing his best to actualise the 2021 power shift project to Anambra South.

Outside the article of the yet to be identified compromised Priests that is against zoning and currently trending on social media, Oseloka Obaze in an interview was quoted of saying that zoning is capable of ruining People deceive People party chances in the 2021 governorship election and such comment is enough evidential proof that Peter Obi is determined to destroy zoning in Anambra State.

As they are campaigning against zoning, they are blackmailing Governor Obiano simply because of the Governor determination to entrench zoning in Anambra State political system.

Why is Peter endorsing cheating?.

What has the good people of Anambra South done to Peter Obi to deserve this wickedness.

They are still drawing Ekwueme daughter closer and the reason is to use her to betray the people of Anambra South if Peter Obi succeeds in bulldozing his way to get PDP ticket for Oseloka Obaze.

Patriotic ndi Anambra truly need to rise up to tell Peter Obi enough is enough to his deceit and inhuman behaviour towards the good people of Anambra South.

The only thing giving Peter Obi sleepless night is how to truncate the zoning arrangement in Anambra State.

They came up with the  useless argument that what was agreed under Peter Obi's regime was that power should move to Anambra north for the sake of equity and not because of zoning, what a cock and bull story?

They want to use such blind argument to confuse and deceive the gullible minded but it will not work for them.

We all know that there is no difference between equity and zoning.

When you talk of equitable distribution, you are talking of fairness and when you talk of fairness you are talking of zoning.

Without zoning there will be no equity.

This same zoning favoured the good people of Anambra north and am stating without fear of contradiction that anybody saying that Governor Obiano did not do anything for Anambra north people is foolishly trying to stand truth on its head and that will not work because truth is something that cannot be covered with bare hands.

The most disadvantaged people in Anambra north are Omambala people and Governor Obiano succeeded in opening up that area through the construction of roads and bridges in the area.

His administration also made huge investment in the Agricultural sector in Omambala and the people of that zone appreciate him for addressing their pressing needs.

The things Governor Obiano did in Anambra north are things that will withstand the test of time.

He also did his best for Anambra central and south people hence the reason why ndi Anambra are unanimously praying that he will give them a successor that will continue his good works from where he stopped.

Peter Obi is a hypocrite that speaks from the both sides of his mouth.

This is a man that is preparing to contest the 2023 Presidential election on the grounds of zoning but in his own State, he is working against that same zoning that he intend to use and become Nigeria President.

Zoning has come to stay in Anambra State and 1million Peter Obi cannot stop the entrenchment of zoning in Anambra political system.

 Daalu nu.

Kaduna Christians felicitate with Muslims after successful Ramadan

The Chairman, Kaduna State CAN, Rev John Hayab, in a statement on Saturday in Kaduna, prayed that the sacrifices made, the prayers offered and all the worship for the peace and progress of Kaduna State, Nigeria and mankind be acceptable. He also prayed for God’s blessings and reward in abundance.

“This year’s Ramadan came at a very critical and trying moment for the entire world given the challenge and fear posed by the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

In spite of the trying situation, we are glad that you did not allow the prevailing challenge to rob you of the joy and blessings of this Holy month.

Therefore, we hopefully look forward to greater and more fruitful days together as we work to defeat the virus as well as promote peace, unity, and harmonious coexistence in all our communities.

Though we have been advised by medical experts and warned by states and national governments to stay at home so that we could prevent the spread of COVID 19, the ‘stay at home’ order should not be seen as a hindrance to a strong fraternity.

We may be socially and physically distancing ourselves from one another but in our hearts and spirit, we are together, celebrating and rejoicing with all Muslims,” he said.

Hayab explained that, amidst the lockdown, CAN Kaduna State felicitates with all Muslims in the state and wish them a blessed and prosperous life after the Ramadan and Sallah.

Nigerians rally around to ensure Cynthia Morgan gets back into the music industry

It’s no longer news that one of Nigeria’s finest reggae/dancehall female singer, Cynthia Morgan now Madrina, has been off the music radar for a long time now.

Although she’s been on and off the scene quite a couple of times, the last time the singer went MIA, she came back with a bang in 2018, changing her stage name from Cynthia Morgan to ‘Madrina’ as part of her efforts to rebrand.

Sometime in March, the singer had a chat with Sydney Shocker on ‘LunchTime Friday‘. She disclosed that she was down with a terrible illness and had a lot of family issues to deal with.

In a new interview, the singer had an Instagram Live chat with her No. 1 advocate of her comeback and former Miss Globe Nig, Sandra Ogbebor (MsVania7). She opened up on her travail after an issue she had with the CEO of her former record label ‘Northside Records’, Jude Okoye, her VEVO account, royalties, Instagram account and other things due to the contract she signed and the record label issue she had with the music executive.

According to her, she became depressed thereafter and had to relocate to Benin to save cost for treatment of an illness that almost took her life. She was sick for over 6 months. It was never a drug problem, she never did drugs.

On why she didn’t open up at that time, she said she wasn’t ready to talk as she believed it was a phase of life she would surmount. She also admitted that some of the colleagues in the music industry reached out to her, but she didn’t say anything because it was all centred on work which she wasn’t ready to get back to then.

According to Sandra, a GoFundMe account to fund her comeback has been created, and Nigerians have started supporting the music star.

Arik Air prepares for post COVID-19 operations

On Saturday, Arik Air, one of Nigeria’s indigenous airlines said that it was preparing to resume operations after the COVID-19 crisis, assuring that the airline would offer better services.

The Manager, Public Relations and Communications of the company, Mr Adebanji Ola, announced in a goodwill message to customers of the airline that the company was collaborating with other aviation stakeholders to offer better service delivery.

“No doubt, the post-COVID-19 lockdown will entail lots of sacrifices, changes and new thinking. We assure that your favourite airline, Arik Air will be back and better.

As we prepare for the eventual opening of airports for flight operations, we are working closely with agencies such as the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority.

We are also working with the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria on how to ensure smooth and safe passenger facilitation after COVID-19.

Before flight resumption, we will be embarking on enhanced health measures, including disinfecting and decontamination of all our aircraft.

Other protocols to be put in place for the safety of passengers and staff members will be advised as time goes on.’’

Ola said that COVID-19 had brought unprecedented deaths, fear and disruption to lives and businesses not witnessed in recent memory around the globe.

“As a company, scheduled flight operations have remained suspended for the second month running. The impact has been huge on staff members, partner businesses and customers. Consequently, we focused on the health and safety of employees, families, customers and community,” the spokesman said.

He, however, said that in spite of the suspension of operations, the airline was busy attending to other social responsibility services for its communities.

“During this time, we are supporting local communities to cushion the effect of the lockdown. This is our little contribution to the government’s efforts at ameliorating the impact of the pandemic on the most vulnerable in our midst. We are also conducting necessary overhaul and preservation on our equipment,’’ he added.

Ola said further that notwithstanding the restriction on flights, the organisation’s call centre would continue to be available to take calls and enquiries from clients and customers.

He advised Nigerians not to endanger their lives during the pandemic by staying safe all the time.

“Please stay safe and ensure strict compliance with all health advisory by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control,’’ he advised.

FG pays April allowances to N-Power beneficiaries

On Saturday, the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development said that it has concluded payment of April stipends to all the N-Power beneficiaries across the country.

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq, confirmed this via a statement signed by the Ministry’s Deputy Director (Media), Mrs Rhoda Iliya. She said:

“Last week I promised that the stipends would be paid this week. We encountered some delays on the GIFMIS platform but I can now announce that all N-Power beneficiaries from Batch A and B have been paid their April stipends.

We are working hard to streamline the programme for greater efficiency and to provide opportunities for more Nigerian youths. Details will be provided as soon May stipend has been paid”.

According to the statement, the N-Power Programme was inaugurated by President Muhammadu Buhari in 2016 under the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) with the mandate to lift citizens out of poverty through capacity building, investment, and direct support.

“This effort also contributes to the administration’s vision of lifting 100 million people out of poverty by creating opportunities to enhance the productivity of the Nigerian youth.

The programme has enrolled 500,000 beneficiaries thus far – 200,000 from Batch A which started in September 2016 and 300,000 from Batch B which kicked off in August 2018.

The beneficiaries were supposed to spend 24 months on the programme but Batch A beneficiaries have spent over 40 months thereby denying other Nigerians an opportunity to access the programme and gain skills for entrepreneurship and employment,” the statement read.

Eid El Fitri : Fayemi urges for prayers against COVID-19

The governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, has felicitated with Muslim faithful in the country on the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr, which marked the end of Ramadan fast.

Fayemi said this in his Eid-el-Fitri message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olayinka Oyebode, on Saturday in Ado- Ekiti.

He congratulated the Muslim faithful for the completion of the 30-day fast, stressing that the spiritual exercise had drawn them closer to Allah.

Fayemi, also the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, admonished Muslims to put the teachings of the holy month to good use in all their undertakings.

He urged Muslims and adherents of other religions to live together in love, peace and harmony, as brothers and sisters.

Fayemi stressed that prayers were needed for God’s intervention, even as the world was looking towards a medical breakthrough for the cure of the deadly coronavirus.

He also urged residents to cooperate with the government by adhering to restriction orders and other guidelines for the COVID-19 containment.

According to him, success would be achieved in the fight against the pandemic with the cooperation of all and sundry.

"21 Jihadists killed in Sinai By AFP" – Egypt

On Saturday, Egypt said that 21 jihadists were killed in clashes with security forces in the restive Sinai peninsula, where Islamic State group-affiliated militants have waged a long-running insurgency.

The interior ministry said in a statement that police raided two hideouts of “terrorist elements” in North Sinai governorate, sparking a gunbattle in which two officers were also wounded. It said the two groups had been planning attacks during the major Islamic holiday of Eid al-Fitr, which starts in Egypt on Sunday.

Security forces had found automatic weapons and suicide belts in the hideouts. Security forces have been battling a long-running Islamist insurgency in the Sinai Peninsula – in Egypt’s northeast – that is spearheaded by a local affiliate of the Islamic State group.

The fighting intensified after the military’s 2013 ouster of Islamist president Mohamed Morsi. In February 2018, security forces had found automatic weapons and suicide belts in the hideouts.
