Enugu state government seals Lord's chosen church headquarters
The Lord's chosen church headquarters in Enugu located specifically along the Enugu-onitsha express way has been put under lock and key following threats of erosion in the area.
Execute chairman of the Enugu capital territory development authority (ECTDA),in a statement said," The decision to seal the church was to save lives and property,avert a recurrence of building collapse in the state and ensure that appropriate measures are taken immediately to remedy the dangerous situation in the church. There has been a public outcry, especially from the people living at the bank of of Ekulu river,GRA, adjacent to the Lord's chosen church, over the imminent danger posed by the worship Centre built on the waterway on their property.

50 years from now, Humans will be able to replace their bodies- Transhumanist writers.
Transhumanists are people who believe that humans could use technology to artificially change their body's capabilities.
Natasha Vita-more is a Executive director of Humanity+, formerly World Transhumanist Association,and is one of the coauthors of the 1998 Transhumanist declaration.
She says:
"50 years from now I think we'll be looking at alternative bodies and we can see that really growing in the field of prosthetics. It is essential our memories be stored some place. Currently,our memories are stored in our brains and that's vulnerable. We have hackers all the time and those are called viruses and disease"

A facebook user by the name Abuchi onwumelu and has taken to the platform to narrate how a 17 year old boy allegedly impregnated his sister amidst the lockdown.
He said that the devasted mother of the three children involved needed advice on how to tackle the dilemma. The daughters,age 13 and 15 were were left in the house with their brother while she went to work.
The only other person who had access to the house was their cleaner who she confronted after testing the girls but it was her daughters who admitted they had been sleeping with their brother.
The woman is a Christian and therefore cannot carry out abortion on her two daughters leaving her with little or no options. She is currently confused and does not know to do.

IGP flunks Presidential order-More than 50 doctors and journalists arrested
Following the order of the inspector general of police,More than 50 doctors and journalists were arrested on Tuesday, may 19.
President Muhammed Buhari had declared health workers,journalists and other essential workers exempted from the curfew imposed as a means to check the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
In Alausa area of Ikeja,Lagos, journalists and doctors who were returning from work were taken by force to the police station where they were detained and their vehicles impounded.
Some key members of the presidential task force on COVID-19 were said to have been contacted and after over two hours in detention,the IGP directed that they be released.

Number of COVID-19 deaths in Nigeria hit 200
The number of coronavirus-related deaths in Nigeria hit 200 on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
Nigeria has recorded a total of 6,677 coronavirus cases in 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, since its index case was announced on February 27.
The country recorded its first fatality on March 22 when Suleiman Achimugu, a former managing director of the Pipeline and Product Marketing Company (PPMC), died in the FCT.
Almost two months later, 26 other states have recorded coronavirus fatalities across the country.
Lagos State, the epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak in Nigeria, has recorded the most deaths of any state with 40 fatalities in total, as of May 20.
The southwestern state has recorded the highest number of cases in the country with 2,954 cases.
Kano trails just behind Lagos with 36 fatalities, just as it trails behind as the state with the second-highest number of recorded cases with 847 in total.
Borno has recorded the fifth-highest number of cases in the country with 235, but the northeastern state has recorded 24 fatalities, the third-highest of any state.
Ese Oruru's abductor and rapist sentenced to 26 years imprisonment
Yunusa Dahiru, who abducted Ese Oruru, took her to Kano and forced her into marriage, has been sentenced to 26 years imprisonment.
He was sentenced on Thursday by a Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
Justice Jane Inyang acquitted him on Count one but jailed him five years (count two), seven years (count three) seven years (count four) and seven years, count five. The sentences, according to the judge, would run concurrently.
The kidnap of Ese, the youngest child of Charles Oruru and Rose Oruru, occurred on 12 August 2015 at her mother’s shop in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
The girl, who was 13 years old at the time, was abducted and taken to Kano, where she was raped, impregnated, Islamized and married off without her parents consent. She later gave birth to a baby girl.
Mayor lies in coffin, pretends to be dead COVID-19 patient to avoid arrest
Jamie Rolando Urbina Torres, the mayor of a small town in Peru, lay in a coffin and pretended to be a dead Coronavirus patient to avoid being arrested.
Torres was caught by police violating coronavirus lockdown rules while drinking with friends. When officers came to arrest him in the town of Tantará, in the south of the country, he lay down in an open casket and played dead.
A photo of the mayor wearing a face mask and lying in the coffin has been circulated online.
Police say he violated curfew and social distancing laws in order to drink liquor with his friends, and was drunk when he was arrested.
It is not clear exactly where he and his friends were drinking, or why there were open caskets there.
Lady fights boyfriend for duping her of N300,000
There was uproar in Makurdi as a lady in a video which has gone viral was seen fighting her boyfriend after he allegedly duped her of N300,000.
According to reports flying around, the lady borrowed him N300,000 only to find out that he spent the money flexing with other girls in the hood.
The angry lady accosted him on the road over the money and they both ended up exchanging insults and blows.
A video that is going viral captured the moment the lady told her boyfriend to either give her back her money or kill her.
“Either you give me my money or you kill me today”, the lady said.
