Today's Sunday Reflection

Today 3rd Sunday of May, 2020
Topic: Outcome of doing his father's will
Text: Revelation 22:11-14

INTRODUCTION: The Lord God Almighty, creator of heaven and Earth will render to every man according to His deed (Roman 2:6). He rewarded Jesus Christ's faithfulness to His will by giving Him all things. He was highly exalted. He was given a name above all other names, crown of glory, power, authority, dominion, kingdom, throne, everlasting life, riches and wisdom, strength, honour, glory, blessing etc. John 3.35, Matthew 11.27, Luke 10.22. Let us analyze one by one the outcome of doing His father's Will faithfully.

OUTCOME OF DOING HIS FATHER'S WILL
1. Jesus Christ was highly exalted in heaven above all angels, on Earth above all creatures and above all creatures underneath the earth. He was exalted far above all principalities, powers, authority, dominion, might etc. In heaven, on Earth and underneath the earth including the sea.

2. Jesus Christ was given a name that is above every other name. The Bible says that at mention of the name of Jesus, all knees should bow of things in heaven, on Earth and underneath the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Mark 4.41.

3. Jesus Christ was crowned with glory and honor after suffering even unto death, and that He should taste death for every man to the glory of God. This made God to be well pleased with Him. John 17.22.

4. Jesus Christ was given dominion, kingdom, throne of David, power and authority in heaven, on Earth and underneath the earth; that all people, nation's, and languages should serve Him and His dominion is an everlasting dominion which shall not pass away, and the kingdom shall not be destroyed. Luke 1.32.

5. Jesus Christ was given everlasting life and that He should in turn give this life to as many that believe in Him. The Bible says, He that believeth on the son hath everlasting life and he that believeth not the son shall not see life but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3.36, John 1.4, John 5.26, John 17.2-3.

CONCLUSION
The Bible says that God will render to every man according to His works as his deed deserve. Good reward Jesus Christ for what He did Jesus Christ will likewise do the same for His followers. Revelation 22.12.

Bishop Oyedepo reveals number of COVID-19 cases healed at Winners Chapel

Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, has revealed that the church received 62 testimonies of persons healed of COVID-19.

Oyedepo during a live broadcast on Saturday expressed gratitude to God for the healing of the 62 patients via listening to preachings from the church.

The cleric who has been against the closure of churches due to coronavirus declared that the fear of death that comes with the disease was gone and that God has weakened the strength of the pestilence.

He said, “I’m glad to let you know this morning that the number of healings recorded from the testimonies received is now 62.

That’s to tell you how God has weakened the strength of this noisome pestilence; anybody can be healed; whoever cares to come to Jesus. Anybody can be healed; whoever cares to come to the Great Physician.

“The Lord sent me with the Word of Faith to liberate the world from all oppressions of the devil through the preaching of the Word of Faith – clear, no mistake; it’s not a man that sent (me), No.

“Praying for the spirit of fear to lose its grip. It’s Kingdom advancement prayer. Nobody can get saved in death, so praying for men to be kept alive, for the fear of death to be gone.

“That person said (documented testimony from Canada) “suddenly, the spirit of death began to come” but she hooked online and by the Word, the spirit of fear left her. By the Word! What if she had no access online to the Word of life, she would be gone.

“Suddenly, she began to cough, catarrh came in – because fear opens the door to the devil. You are always a victim of what you fear.

“Therefore, the fear of death that coronavirus has come along with, is declared gone and every victim around the world is declared liberated in the name of Jesus.”

This, he said, portends danger to those living in the villages and should be avoided because of the fear of community spread.
While reiterating that he will stop at nothing to protect the life of Imo citizens from the dreaded virus, Governor Uzodinma warned that he will be left with no option than to order for a total lockdown if citizens of the state continue to violate the directives and measures put in place by government to contain the spread of the virus.
