Tension! I Regret Attending Funke Akindele House Party- Former Lagos State Governorship Aspirant

Former Lagos Governorship aspirant, Babatunde Gbadamosi has also apologized after being spotted at a houseparty the actress organized for her husband, JJC Skillz 43rd birthday at the residence in Amen Estate in Lagos on Saturday, April 4.

The Lagos State Police Command had earlier announced that the actress was arrested for violating the Lagos State Government's order, which barred a public gathering of more 20 people.
Gbadamosi who was spotted in the crowded houseparty, said he thought they were only going to see Funke Akindele and JJC's family and staff at their house. He however said he suffered a lapse in judgement after an unmentioned celebrity turned up with a number of people with him.
The former Governorship aspirant who disclosed that he supports the social distancing policy that has been put out by healthcare officials to curb the spread of Coronavirus, added that everyone who attended the party is a resident of the estate.

Just in: Apostle Suleman mocks Buhari, says 'I can't give you my money because you are greedy, I give to the needy'

Apostle Suleman, the General Overseer of Omega Fire Worldwide has once again made a strong statement directed at the federal government
He said that people have been calling him out why he is not giving money to the federal government at this time.
And to respond to this he said he can’t give the federal government his money, that he gives to the needy not the greedy.
This of course has made many Nigerians to like him the more with the current situation in the country where the poor is neglected by the federal government.
His statement says below;
I hear people are calling me out for not giving money to govt to combat covid 19..govt is not hungry, why should I give them?..God will reward my wife and I for the hundreds of millions we have given this period.we give to the poor directly..giving is for the needy not the greedy..

Just hap; Security Operatives, Youths Clash During Enforcement Of Public Gathering Ban At Adamawa Mosque

Scores of persons are currently feared injured after security operatives and Muslim youth clashed at Juma'at Mosque in Yola, Adamawa State.
The clash, occurred at about 2:00pm on Friday when the security operatives arrived the Damilu Jumma'at Mosque to enforce the ban on public gathering imposed by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri in a bid to curb the spread of Coronavirus in the country, according to a worshipper.
Violence erupted when a combined team of law enforcement operatives stormed the mosque and allegedly arrested the imam and some top officials.
Irate youth at the prayer ground were said to have violently attacked the operatives, pelting stones and metals at them.
An eyewitness, told SaharaReporters that many worshippers and security personnel sustained injuries in the violent clash.
But the police have denied the claim, saying there was neither violence, nor arrest at the mosque.

H said, “We were patrolling round the city to monitor compliance with the lockdown order when we got a distress call that something was happening around Damilu Jumma'at mosque.
“On getting there, we learnt the imam had told the congregation to disperse because there won't be Jumma'at prayer.
"But some youths started shouting 'Allahu Akbar', causing panic and scare.
“However, our men were timely, so we were able to contain the situation before it degenerated into violence.”

Just in! Options For Pregnant Women During COVID-19

Phew. Where do we even start? We are currently entering week three of self quarantine and the energy in the air is…stagnant. I will be honest – I am struggling to write this. I am grasping the air for inspiration after being locked in the house for nearly eighteen days. As much as I tried not to write blog posts focusing on COVID-19 (there are plenty of news sources and reports on Coronavirus to make your head spin), I realize that our pregnant mamas are in for a different type of battle. With the hospitals being filled to capacity and the fear of catching this debilitating virus, many are left wondering, what are my options when it comes to my birth?
Should I Still Birth In A Hospital?
Hospital births are under major stress at the current moment. Mothers are being dressed in full hazmat suits before entering hospitals. Husbands and support systems are not being allowed to attend the birth of their babies. Needless to say, no mom has been properly prepared to give birth under these circumstances.
Yesterday we sat down with Latham Thomas, founder of
 Mama Glow
, to discuss what options mothers have as it pertains to a hospital birth. Latham’s number one suggestion? Hire a doula. No matter where you are in your pregnancy, it is not too late to have a doula coach you through your birth. Latham says as a doula, one of her goals is to help control the narrative for a birth mama. Instead of focusing on what is going wrong right now, a doula helps mama learn how to breathe, control her stress, be her advocate, and deliver a healthy newborn. Even though your doula may not be able to attend your birth, they can join you as a virtual doula and coach you over the phone or computer.
What Options Do I Have For Birth Support?
Even if you are 36 weeks pregnant, it is not too late to hire birth support. Hired birth support can include a doula or a midwife.
According to American Pregnancy, a doula is a professional trained in childbirth who provides emotional, physical, and educational support to a mother who is expecting, is experiencing labor, or has recently given birth. (source:
https://americanpregnancy.org/labor-and-birth/having-a-doula/
). Doulas can be extremely essential during the pregnancy, birth, and afterbirth experience. While doulas are not medically trained, they work to act more as your pregnancy and birth coach and advocate during childbirth.
Statistics show that women that hire a doula during pregnancy are least likely to need a Cesarean birth and tend to stick to their desire, if so, to have a natural birthing process. Doulas are sort of like your knowledgeable pregnant best friend without needing to be pregnant too. When it comes time for labor, they will be the support system reminding you to breathe while at the same time making sure your delivering doctor or midwife is keeping your needs first. Thanks to sources like
Mama Glow
, you can find a doula of color in your area that will keep your needs first. While doulas are not normally covered in your health insurance, their services are reasonably priced and some work with clients on a sliding fee scale.
Your midwife is kind of like your supremely educated pregnant bestie that can provide more medical advice and actually birth your baby at the same time. You can ask your midwife the same sort of questions you can ask your doula but a midwife can also:
Deliver your baby
Admit and discharge you from the hospital
Do prenatal exams and order tests
Make doctor referrals
Monitor your physical and psychological health
Provide family planning and preconception care
Midwives are typically covered in most insurance plans as long as your baby is birthed in a hospital or birthing center. Insurance does not typically cover midwives for home births. The average cost of a midwife is around $2000 but if applicable, your insurance will cover a partial or total amount of their fees.
Should I Choose A Home Birth?
With hospitals currently overcrowded and even some birthing centers shutting down, a home birth may be an ideal choice for you. Choosing a homebirth should be a decision made after consulting with your medical care provider. A homebirth is where a mama births her baby in the comfort of her own home. This birth is normally attended by a doula or a midwife but for more experienced moms, they may choose to have an unassisted birth. Unassisted births should only be considered under proper training and education and not a decision made due to the pressures of COVID-19.
Home births should also be reserved for those that are considered low risk pregnancies. This means that you are typically under 35 years of age and do not have any pre-existing health conditions. Women that are pregnant with multiples, have had a previous Cesarean birth, or have babies that are breech are considered high risk pregnancies but may still be eligible. Please speak with your medical provider before making any decisions on your birth options.
Mama, no matter what you choose during this time, the goal is to birth a healthy baby. What birth options have you considered amid the pandemic?

Sad news! 2 New Deaths Recorded In Nigeria to make it 4 deaths As Coronavirus Cases Rise To 210

Two new deaths resulting from Coronavirus have been recorded in Nigeria - One in Lagos and the other in Edo state - bringing the total recorded Coronavirus deaths in Nigeria to 4.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced this on Twitter, writing: "Twenty new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; 11 in Lagos, 3 in the FCT, 3 in Edo, 2 in Osun & 1 in Ondo.
"Two new deaths have been recorded in Lagos and Edo State. As at 10:30 pm 3rd April there are 210 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria."
The patient who died in Lagos is a 55-year-old man. He died in the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, hours after he was admitted, according to Punch.
The hospital only discovered after his death that he had Coronavirus. A Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test was done on his blood posthumously and it tested positive for Coronavirus, the publication reports.
"Fingerprint antibody test was done on him, confirming his COVID-19 infection," a source told Punch.
According to our source, the man, a 55-year-old hypertensive and diabetic patient had presented to LUTH’s emergency unit on Thursday night with "malaise, tremors, and fever."
He was also diagnosed with acute chronic kidney disease and sepsis.
The man, who arrived at LUTH on Thursday night, April 2, did not disclose his travel history, neither did he disclose the fact that he had contact with someone who had travelled overseas.
He reportedly told the doctors that he had no history of coughs, sore throat, joint pains or diarrhoea.
When the patient first arrived at the hospital in Idi Araba, he was sent to the "spillover unit" because the hospital had run out of bed spaces. However, when he developed complications, a junior doctor at the Accident & Emergency Unit reviewed his case and notified the Senior Registrar of his suspicion.
The source told the publication: "After the Senior Registrar reviewed his case and confronted him with their findings, the man revealed the true story about his travels and his fear that he might have contracted COVID-19.
"He confessed that he had been coughing and that he had returned from Holland two weeks ago, where he had gone for follow-up treatment after a renal transplant he also had there."
The man died early Friday morning, April 3, and the Lagos State coronavirus emergency workers took away his body.
When confronted after the man’s death, his family members said they withheld the information about his likely COVID-19 infection because they were afraid that LUTH would reject him.

Multi choice dishes out #1.2billion to Nigeria Government to combat corona virus pandemic. See details!

Just In! H.E. High Chief Sir Solomon Onyekwelu (An Ideani Igweship candidate) gave words of consolation to Nigerians

Good day great people. I trust we are all keeping well, and I trust that we are observing recommendations from notable sources on social distancing, frequent hand washing, the use of hand sanitizers, face masks, etc

I want to draw to your attention the need to also be very security conscious this period

2020 has been a very trying year. A lot has happened back to back.  A large majority of individuals who earn a living by riding motorcycles and tricycles lost their jobs and have been having a hard time and now the economy is shutting down, with a possibility of a lockdown happening any moment from now.

No provision is being made for the welfare of the lower class

A lot of the security forums I belong to are predicting a sharp rise in crime... armed robbery, theft, kidnapping, molestations, etc. Simply because people are suffering. A lot of people no longer have a viable source of income. They have tried borrowing, begging and may now resort to stealing.

Please ensure you take necessary precautionary measures to secure your loved ones, homes and properties!
Here are few tips to help us out!

*At home:*
-Ensure proper lighting.
-Ensure doors and gates are properly locked at night. Never lock a gate using a padlock from outside at night.
-Those that can tolerate guard dogs, get a few.
-Those with security fences, ensure they working.
-If you can get CCTV systems in place, please do (The fear of being caught is often one of the greatest deterrents to crime).
-Limit late nights.
-Be aware of your surroundings. Take note of parked cars, individuals loitering, etc
-Those in estates, ensure you have an emergency response plan (what happens if you or your neighbors are under attack? do you have a way of rapidly alerting the estate security?).
-Ensure all your domestic workers are properly vetted.
-Get an insurance plan
-If your car has an alarm system, always sleep with the remote by your bedside. If you have cause to suspect that someone is trying to forcefully gain entrance into your home, activate the alarm. In a residential environment, this is usually very loud and hopefully will scare the criminals away.
-Be your neighbors keeper. Look out for them. If you have information or observe something that can help, please speak up.

*In Transit:*
-Try as much as possible to get home while it’s still light outside
-Be observant of vehicles and individuals around you
-Reduce the use of mobile phones, tablets and laptops in traffic (especially if you do not have tinted glasses)
-Do not keep bags, wallets or any valuable item on the chair. This also applies when parking in a public place.
-Keep your car doors locked at all times. This also applies when parking in a public place
-While driving home, lookout for cars following you, look out for cars parked too close to your gate, watch out for unfamiliar individuals in your neighborhood.
-Reduce the use of third party  individuals to handle the transportation of your loved ones
-Do not allow your drivers/gatemen know your travel/daily itinerary
-Do not make unscheduled stops in questionable areas. If you have a flat, manage the car to a properly lit place. Worst case scenario is that the the (which usually costs between N10k and N100k) gets damaged.

*Personal Lives:*
-Be very wary of having business discussions around drivers, especially those that concern money, projects, affiliation with known individuals, etc
-Ensure you carry out comprehensive background on existing and new domestic staff hires
-Reduce road trips. Always travel by air if the option is available
-Always let your loved ones know where you are and when you should be expected home.
-Always know the whereabouts of your loved ones and their itinerary. Get frequent updates and act immediately you feel something is out of place.
-Avoid excessive and public show of wealth
-When giving, as much as possible, do so anonymously

May God continue to keep us all. Amen.

Just in; You could go to prison for 6 months for sharing fake news about coronavirus in Osunl

People who promote unverified, untested, or unapproved cures for coronavirus can also be jailed.

Osun State governor, Gboyega Oyetola, says he's committed towards slowing the spread of coronavirus [Twitter/GboyegaOyetola]Sharing fake news about the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Osun State is an offense that could attract a six-month stay in prison.

This was one of the conditions stated in the Diseases (Emergency Prevention) Regulations 2020 signed by state governor, Gboyega Oyetola, on Thursday, April 2, 2020.

The law is an enforcement of a previous order to lock down the state to slow down and contain the spread of coronavirus within the territories of the state.
The law primarily prohibits anyone from violating the sit-at-home order, an offence that also attracts a six-month imprisonment or an option of fine upon conviction.

"Under the law, transmission or dissemination of false information regarding Covid-19 is also an offence and it attracts the same punishment.
"Similarly, the promotion of unverified, untested, or unapproved cures, vaccines or other similar items that purport to cure, alleviate or reduce instances of persons infected with Covid-19, also constitutes an offence and offenders upon conviction will be liable to six-month imprisonment or an option of fine,"an official statement read.

The law also allows the governor to direct a potentially infectious person to go into isolation for an initial period of 14 days; or order the removal of such a person if they fail or refuse to go to a place specified for screening and assessment.
"It has become imperative to go beyond making suggestions and giving directives in order to stem the tide of the spread of Covid-19, save lives, reduce ill health and ensure that the economy in which the people of the State of Osun operate does not become weakened and stretched,"Oyetola said.
Osun has recorded the
third highest number of coronavirus cases
in Nigeria with 14, as of April 2.
Nigeria has recorded 184 cases as of the time of this report, with Lagos recording 98 of those, followed by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja with 38.
Other states where cases have been recorded are Oyo (8), Akwa Ibom (5), Ogun (4), Edo (4), Kaduna (4), Bauchi (3), Enugu (2), Ekiti (2), Rivers (1), and Benue (1).
A total of 20 people have made full recoveries and discharged to resume their regular lives.
Two people have died, both in Abuja, after complications brought on by underlying illnesses, according to authorities.
