What? A 4-year old boy fell into a Gorilla enclosure.

We humans are paying more attention to technology rather than life itself. Here is a life story of a 4 year old boy that fell into a gorilla cage.

According to eyes witness, the parent of the poor child took the four year old to a zoo, to look at animals, while they were watching a gorilla playing in its cage.

The woman took her mobile phone out to take selfie, forgetting that her boy was standing on the edge of the cage. The little boy slipped and fell into the cage.

Thank God the gorilla cage was having water in it, like a small stream flowing in the cage. The four year old fell into the water. The water in the cage actually saved the kid's life, making the child not sustain any injuries from the fall.

Then immediately, the gorilla ran towards the kid, trying to protect the kid, the people, including the mother of the child watching the incident were thinking that the gorilla was going to harm the boy.

So they all panicked, coursing the gorilla to take the child and run to hide the child from the crowd. The mother of the child could not handle the fact that the gorilla was holding her child.

She called for the zoo keepers to help her get the her child from the gorilla. They tried getting the child, but to no avail, because the gorilla was too protective, thinking they want to hurt the child.

The zoo keepers had no choice but to shot down the gorilla and rescue the kid from the dead gorilla.

This event was so hurting to the point that the people were calling the zoo keepers murderers. People ware blaming the mother of the child, for being careless of not taking proper care of her child, leading to the killing of an innocent gorilla.

Anambra State government to give stimulus to aged of 70years and above

State Government Gives Bags Of Rice To The Elderly In The State

The Government of Anambra Sate will ‪from Wednesday‬, 1st April, 2020 begin the distribution of bags of rice to men and women in the state from the age of 70 years and above.

According to Governor Willie Obiano, “This is one of the many interventions the state government will be making to help cushion the economic and other effects of the coronavirus on Ndi Anambra”.

“We will share 200 bags of rice each to the 179 communities we have in the state. That’s about 35,800 bags in total. My government will announce further stimulus package in due course”.

“We call on the traditional rulers, the Presidents General, and ASATU women leaders to quickly send their list of beneficiaries which will be jointly signed by them to the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs immediately. Communities that send their list first will receive theirs immediately”, Governor Obiano said.

Anambra state government will soon introduce an economic stimulus package to help cushion the economic effects of the Coronavirus pandemic on Ndi Anambra.

Mr. Mark Okoye, Anambra State Commissioner for Economic Planning, Budget and Development Partners said this while responding to questions on the state government’s preparedness to weather the economic storm arising from the coronavirus pandemic ravaging many countries across the globe.

According to Mr Okoye, “This is already being worked on. So far, fortunately and unfortunately, Lagos is the worst hit during this pandemic, that has strategically positioned them from a funding stand point. 10BN grant from the federal government, banks and oil companies building makeshift hospitals, etc”.

Continuing, he said that, “Nigeria is being hit harder than most countries given the nation’s reliance on one export product. So not only are we dealing with a public heath emergency, revenue is likely to drop by 45%. This sets up a pretty interesting situation for all”.

“Governor Willie Obiano is not relenting in spite of the challenging fiscal environment. He currently chairs the COVID-19 response committee tackling the pandemic in the state and has demanded a draft emergency multi -faceted economic stimulus package for Ndi Anambra for his review. The economic team is currently working tirelessly on this. The key objective will be to ameliorate the impact of the loss in economic activity on the state and its people, especially the poor and vulnerable”.

It will be recalled that Governor Obiano had also introduced similar measures to cushion the impact on the citizens of the global recession that occurred in 2016/2017.

New more cases: Nigeria records eight new coronavirus cases - toll now 97

Nigeria has recorded eight new cases of coronavirus.

The new cases were recorded in the federal capital territory (FCT), Oyo, Kaduna and Osun.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced this in a series of tweets on Saturday night.

Giving a breakdown of the cases, the centre said the FCT has two new cases, four in Oyo and one case each in Kaduna and Osun.

The development brings the country’s total number of cases to 97.

“Eight new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; 2 in FCT, 4 in Oyo, 1 in Kaduna and 1 in Osun State,” the centre tweeted.

“As at 10:40 pm 28th March there are 97 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria with 1 death.”

Of the 97 confirmed cases, Lagos has 59, FCT 16, Oyo seven and Ogun three.

Nasir el-Rufai, governor of Kaduna state, is one the prominent persons who has tested positive for the disease.

Suleiman Achimugu, a former managing director of the Petroleum Products Marketing Company (PPMC), is the only one who has died of the virus in the country.

He died on Monday after returning to the country from a trip to the UK.

Its obvious though that corona virus pandemic has a way to make most pressing issues to be set aside but the birth of the act is worrying and acrimonious.

In Anambra state, over 40 community were forcefully and falsely replaced with a caretaker committee against the will of the people. The ride was beckoned on the fuse in most communities were the so called false caretaker committee (forceful committee) never had a concrete discuss with their community.

The community involved had earlier had a meeting on how to combat the government to do the needed before the siege in the name of corona virus sets in and this may affect the running of those community in the bid to combat Corona virus.

The government or Governor of Anambra state should act fast and ensure that communities with the false caretaker committee or forced caretaker committee be dissolved and the wish of the people be done in their various community.

No matter what, if the current government or governor fails to deal with the saga and the menace lingers, it shall be counted on him that under his watch that laws and orders were never kept just because of selfish nature of those in government who wanted to slash the salary of the PGs into their pocket.


Note: most of the people in the affected community have started blaming Governor Willy Obiano ahead or inveiw of any break down via death of her members during the corona virus pandemic.

• Representatives from the finance ministries and central banks of China, India, Russia, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will attend the SCO conference in Moscow.

The eight-member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), including China, Russia, and Pakistan, have made the principle decision to conduct bilateral trade and investment and issue bonds in local and national currencies instead of US dollars.

As per details, a road map will be finalized and signed at SCO's Finance Ministers' meeting in Moscow on March 18th.

Russia, as chairman of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, has called for suggestions from all member states for trade and investment in local currencies. After a detailed review of these proposals in Moscow's meeting, a system of mutual settlement of national currencies will be introduced for the member countries of the SCO.

All member states will sign a roadmap for trade and investment in national currencies between member states. Russia has issued the agenda for the SCO's Finance Ministers' meeting summoned in Moscow on March 18.

As per reports, the finance ministry of Pakistan has completed preparations in light of the agenda of the conference of finance ministers.

Representatives from the finance ministries and central banks of China, India, Russia, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will attend the SCO conference in Moscow.

In addition, Iran, Afghanistan, Belarus, and Mongolia are the observer countries of the SCO who wish to become a regular member of the organization.

Reports say that if the trade and investment between the member states of the SCO begin in national currencies instead of dollars and pounds, it will be a big breakthrough. It will also strengthen the national currencies of the member countries and promote mutual trade and investment.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced to give out N30k to every Nigerian who has a verified BVN account.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina said “the N30000 relief fund will be given to every Nigerian with verified BVN account. I am sure the fund will go a long way to help Nigerians stock up their home during the stay at home order by the Government.”

‘We have tabled about 40 Millions Nigerians with valid BVN, the relief fund will be disbursed by the Ministry of Finance starting from today or latest tomorrow. Nigerian will start receiving credit alert to their bank account.”

*The relief fund will only be given through BVN so it will be waste of time to start rushing to open many accounts.”

In the gesture, the central bank of Nigeria has tabled about N10b credit funds to small businesses and individual for quick loan during the trial period, Nigerians advised getting more information on how to access the loan.

Nigeria is a partial lockdown with Lagos State and Abuja badly affected. Nigeria cases of coronavirus have hit 65 with Lagos State on the lead followed by Abuja. Also, one death has been recorded and 2 has been discharged.
